From the time I was little, I always had a crayon in one hand and paper in the other. The sounds, the smells, and the feelings associated with drawing always had a way of calming me. Drawing was my escape and where I felt happiest, so it was where I stayed.
I always took art classes from the time I was in Kindergarten, and I haven’t stopped since. So while I didn’t know what I wanted to do as I went off to college, I knew I was an artist. My passions collided with my career at the University of North Texas in the Communication Design program. It was a challenging program to get into, but, as always, my art carried me through. I have also been fortunate enough to explore other facets of art through my Metalsmithing and Art History minors.
I graduated in 2023 from the University of North Texas (UNT) with a B.F.A. in Communication Design with a focus in Graphic Design. I now work as a graphic designer at Michaels, specializing in digital design. Previously, I have worked as a graphic designer for UNT’s Pohl Recreation Center and Sunrider International, along with freelancing for clients like the Dallas Cowboys and the United States Navy. While my passion is illustration and logo design, I also greatly enjoy branding, packaging, and animation.
